Fishing Schedule

7 Days Fishing, 6 Nights Lodging

All our fishing trips begin early Sunday morning with a flight from Anchorage to Talaheim. Our trips end on Saturday evening after a days fishing. Flights from Talaheim back to Anchorage are around 5pm.

June 21 - July 11

These three weeks feature great angling for king salmon as well as rainbow trout and arctic grayling.

July 12 – July 18

This week is our annual couple’s week featuring great fishing and many extra adventures. For more information check out Couples Week.

July 19 – August 8

Four species of salmon begin to arrive in our tributaries – Coho, Sockeyes, Humpys and Pinks – and right behind them are rainbow trout, char and arctic grayling.

August 9 - September 5th

These weeks are great for Coho “Silver” salmon and our rivers are full of fattened rainbow trout, char and grayling.

At this time we only offer 7 day trips. If you’re interested in a shorter trip, contact the host for more information.
We limit our guests to 8 per week. If you have a group larger than 8, please reach out to the host for options.
Talaheim Lodges takes singles, but dates may be restricted. We try to match a single angler up with another single angler of the same age and skill level.

We can’t thank you enough for making this such a special week for my dad and I. It was wonderful to re-visit fishing together – which we haven’t done since I was a small girl. And I can’t thank the guides enough for their astute and patient lessons teaching me to fly fish! Also, big thanks to Katiri, Jana, and Melli and Bayard for making the week so awesome. Great food and incredible flights! Finally, huge thanks to Mark for making this all possible. You all are welcome in Vermont or Nashville anytime.

It’s rare that an angler gets to come to a place where the fishing is exceeded by the hospitality and camaraderie. I am humbled by the warmth and affection that Mark, Felicia, and their extended family of fly fishing experts and hosts have shown us all week. To top it off, the helicopter journeys all over the area, especially to the glacier, was better than dreams of fishing.
