FEELING AT HOME IN THE WILD

Talaheim means “Home on the Tal” and it is our goal to make you feel just that: at home.

We offer the following amenities to enhance your stay. If you don’t see something here, please reach out.

Hot Tub: Bring your bathing suit! There’s nothing like a good soak after a long day of fishing. Please note, this is a fire-warmed hot tub. If you’d like to partake, please let the staff know before leaving for the day so we can have it ready upon your return.

Fire Pit: Sit around the fire and swap your favorite fishing stories while sipping Alaskan Ale served in a frosted mug.

Phone: WiFi calling from your smart phone is available at the Main Lodge.

Internet: We offer complementary WiFi at the Main Lodge. Our signal works great when needing to check emails. It is not strong enough to stream movies.

Waders: We rent Aquaz waders in a wide variety of sizes for $50 a week. Please let the host know upon booking if you plan to partake.

Rods, Reels & Flies: We offer a wide variety of fishing supplies. Check out our “What to Bring” page for more specifics.

Exercise: If you’re looking for more exercise while at Talaheim we encourage you to run or walk our runway. The strip is over 1/4 mile in length.

Dogs: Yes, we consider our dogs amenities because they’ll follow you around like a tour guide, often with a ball in their mouth.

MORE ON AMENITIES

We do offer WiFi at the Main Lodge but we suggest you be prepared to only answer emails. The signal is often not sufficient enough to download anything, or post pictures on social media. It’s definitely not adequate enough to stream movies. And the internet will only work on the Main Lodge, not in your guest cabin.
Most smart phones will work at the Main Lodge when WiFi calling is enabled. We suggest you check with your carrier before arriving at Talaheim to get directions on how to do this. Or you can ask one of our staff and we can do our best to troubleshoot.
Why, yes we can! We have three dogs. Two white labs, Happy & Cricket. And Gita’s a small mutt of a dog but with a huge personality.

What a great fishing convenience is this helicopter! I loved it! How many fish did we catch? Plenty. How big were they? Big enough. Thank you to all here at Talaheim for making this anniversary trip so special. We learned some new fishing techniques, caught and released a beautiful variety of fish, and enjoyed the company of some exceptional people. One could not ask for more.
