Alaska Talaheim Lodge is in search of an experienced fly fishing guide:
- Experience operating a flat bottom river jet boat
- 11 weeks from June 30th – September 3rd
- For experienced guide, $150 per day plus tips with a performance raise in two weeks depending on qualifications
- Includes room and board at the lodge
- Includes round trip air transportation from Anchorage to the lodge
Also hiring for camp helper and guide trainee. Pay depending on experience.

Ethan has been fly fishing for the past 10 years, he started as a young boy on Moosehead Lake in the great state of Maine. He found his way to Alaska after finishing his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps Infantry and has been hooked ever since his first summer here at Talaheim Lodge!
Cade McParland hails from Southwestern Montana, where he is also a guide for deer, elk, and mountain lion. Cade is always up for trying something new and getting people out of their comfort zone. He is always looking to make your trip as fun as possible. When he’s not guiding, Cade likes to travel, work with his bird dog, or go on any kind of outdoor adventure. Guiding clients both in Montana and Alaska keeps Cade busy and he is always adjusting his methods to match the clients each day.
Doc earned his nickname in the Army where he was a medic. His real name? Well, good luck getting that one out of him.

Scott credits the guests for making him an expert. After 15 years guiding over 1,000 fishermen he’s picked up a lot of tricks, and loves sharing his knowledge.
Originally from Washington, Nellie arrived at Talaheim at the age of 14. She never left. Today you can find her flying a plane, or working on a plane.
Hailing from California, Josh was 12 years old when first arriving at Talaheim, and only two days into his job he got chased by a black bear. And his mom still lets him come back.
